Deploying a massive, high-hitpoint tank like a Golem, Giant, or Lava Hound is only the first step in executing a successful 'Beatdown' strategy.
Choosing the correct support units dictates the entire personality and effectiveness of your deck.
The Splash Damage Sweepers
The most common and fundamental type of support unit is the ranged splash-damage attacker, such as the Wizard, Executioner, or Baby Dragon.
Once the tank falls, the splash unit is immediately targeted by the Princess tower and dies quickly; they absolutely rely on the meat shield to survive.
- Never place your support unit directly on top of your tank.
- Wait to deploy your support until you see what the enemy uses to defend.
- It flies, meaning ground-targeting defenders cannot hit it, ensuring it survives longer behind the tank.
High DPS Backline
You need high-DPS, single-target snipers like the Musketeer, Flying Machine, or Night Witch to rapidly melt through thick defensive lines.
The Night Witch is historically the most infamous support unit for heavy tanks because she continuously spawns flying bats while dealing heavy melee damage.
| Support Type | Best Against | Biggest Weakness |
|---|---|---|
| Ranged AoE | Skeleton Armies, Goblin Gangs, Minion Hordes | Mini P.E.K. If you have any queries regarding in which and how to use tower rush, you can speak to us at our page. K.As, Knights, Heavy Spells (Fireball/Poison) |
| Assassins | Defensive Buildings (Cannons, Bomb Towers), Heavy Defenders (Valkyries) | Swarms that surround them, Lightning Spells |
Magic as Support
A heavy tank paired perfectly with a predictive Log and a Lightning spell can often break through a defense without needing any backup troops.
Protect your damage dealers, let your tank absorb the pain, and watch the enemy towers fall.
